The World Cup overall winner Felix Gottwald ended his incredible season with two victories from Holmenkollen. The season was worth celebrating:

"When I got home to Austria, there was a big party in Salzburg. Afterwards there was also a party in Saalfelden. There were few parties.

After 5 days break we had a cross country camp together with Germans in Ramsau and a small place near it. The snowconditions there were really good, and it was a successful camp.

After that camp I had 2 weeks holiday. I spent it on Mauritius with my
girlfriend. It was nice just to have some lazy time. I started training again on 7th May, and we will start jumping on 28th May.

I was not too surprised over Bjarte Engen Vik's retirement. He has family now, and I heard earlier he was a bit tired and didn't have so much motivation anymore. However, it is a bad thing for nordic combined.

I just hope there will be some good athletes to replace him, and yes-hopefully a strong Austrian team..."
