Former World Champion Gets Head Coach Position in Norway

Odd Lirhus will take over as head coach for the Norwegian biathlon women. Lirhus has earned his academic credentials from sports academies in Norway and works as teacher today.

Lirhus has coaching experiences from Canada and New Zealand and has also worked with Norwegian U23 teams and junior teams the last decade.

Lirhus is a former double junior world champion. Furthermore, he was world champion on the 20k individual in 1978 and won the silver on the sprint in 1979. He also has a silver from the relay in the 1984 Olympic games.
