Frode Andresen, the multi talented Norwegian biathlete, is a candidate to ski cross country as well as biathlon in the Olympics.
Andresen has a bronze from the Norwegian championships on the 50k and was 10th in the world cup final in cross country last season.
Paal Gunnner Mikkelsplass, the Norwegian cross country head coach, says that Andresen will have to qualify on equal terms with other skiers.
Alsgaard in the only clear candidate as of today, Hetland and Skjeldal are other skating candidates.
Estil, Jevne, Hjelmeseth, Aukland and Bjonviken all focus more or less on classic. Youngster Espen Harald Bjerke may also be a candidate.
Erlend Slokvik, the biathlon coach, says that Andresen will have to go for either the 20k individual in biathlon of the 30k cross country.
The 30k for men is held February 9th, the 20k biathlon February 11th.
The biathlon sprint is on Februay 13th.
