Frode Andresen to Beat Silver from 1998?

Posted 04. July 2001 by Editor

Norwegian Frode Andresen is one of the favorites for the biathlon in the 2002 Olympics.

Frode won the world championships in the sprint in 1999 and earned a silver medal in the sprint in the Olympics 1988.

Frode is born in Rotterdam and is also a great cross country skier and mountain bike cyclist. He has done very well in several cross country races, among them won the season ender Skarverennet and has a medal from the 50k in the Norwegian championships.

Frode is probably not a force in the 20k. Third overall in the 2001 world cup, has won 11 individual world cup races, girlfriend fellow biathlete Gunn Margit Andreassen.

Frode may be a candidate to ski the 30k cross country mass start skate in Salt Lake as well.

Frode will do some bike races this summer and go to Bulgaria in August for a high altitude camp.
