As reported yesterday on www.wintersport.as, some highly sought after tickets for the Olympics are auctioned off on the internet.
Mitt Romney said he would be delighted if front-row seats to the 2002 Olympics netted twice their original price. The Salt Lake Organizing Committee president might need surgery to wipe the smile off his face when the first of several Internet ticket auctions ends 10 days from now.
On Monday, after just one day of bidding on eBay, a pair of tickets to the Feb. 16 men's hockey matchup between the United States and Russia had fetched more than five times their face value of $300. The top bid for two $425 seats at the gold medal round was $2,500.
