Russia was the leading nation in the biathlon world championships completed last weekend in Pokljuka.
Russia had 3 gold and no other medals, followed by France with a total of 4 medals, 2 gold and 2 silver. Sweden had 2 gold and a silver for a total of 3 medals.
Germany had 6 medals, 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze,
Norway captured the most medals, a total of 7, 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze.
